We’ve officially been MYXin’ it up for a year now and what a year it has been. At MYX, we’re in the business of celebrating together, so we reached out to some of our original MYX members to salute their fitness journey during our first year.

When did you join MYX?
I have been a member of the MYXfitness family since Jan 2020. 283 workouts later and 31 lbs down since I got serious in October 2020 (daily).
Why MYX?
Of course the big question is: why did I choose MYXfitness? I honestly had contemplated joining a gym again or buying a workout DVD set. But I had a struggle of finding a gym that didn’t charge an arm and a leg for childcare, and I get bored easily with DVD programs.
I knew I wanted to make a change, a healthy change. So of course I was browsing online and stumbled upon an ad for MYXFitness. I did research and loved how affordable it was, and the amount of different classes they had that weren’t just on the bike. So I bit the bullet and went for it, and I haven’t looked back since. I am always recommending MYX to friends and will continue to do so. Once you’ve joined you have become a part of the MYX Family and community, and I absolutely love it.
What is your favorite MYX ride?
My favorite MYX ride would have to be the 45-minute Hip Hop Climb Ride with Christina. Something about the music and her motivation pushes me to keep going even when I feel like it’s getting tough.
Any advice to our new MYX members?
My advice to new MYX members is don’t be afraid of a challenge. When you don’t think you can do something, just give it a try. You’ll be surprised with yourself and with what your mind and body can do. Your body knows you best, so always listen to it. I used to despise burpees, dreaded having to do them in any workout. But after doing a couple of classes that incorporated them into the workout; I actually love them now and I noticed every time how much stronger I am getting. So like I said, don’t be afraid of a challenge.

Why MYX?
I used to be a Dailyburn subscriber and gravitated towards Erika's kickboxing workouts all the time. So, when she left that platform I was disappointed and did some digging into where she went, and that’s how I found MYX. And I am so happy I did! I honestly love everything about the MYX platform. The coaches are great, the variety of workout programming is phenomenal, and it feels like a really great investment in myself and my all-around health.
I'm a mental health therapist and there is so much positivity around all aspects of health with almost every workout, and I enjoy starting everyday with MYX, as cheesy as that might sound. As of today, I have completed 405 different classes!
Who is your favorite coach?
I absolutely love pretty much all of Dyan and Garner's workouts. They are some of my favorite original coaches and their workouts always leave me super sweaty but feeling really amazing. Lately, I've been gravitating toward Jesse and Justin's workouts as well and they are becoming favorites too. They all have great cueing and help me push myself during my workouts.
What is your favorite floor or recovery workout?
My favorite floor workout is hard to narrow down, but I think my go to would be any of Garner or Dyan’s 30-min total body strength options. They are clear in their instruction and cueing, and have such a positive energy in their coaching style.
Any advice for a new MYX member?
Buy a bike seat cover! And don't let your thoughts talk you out of a workout. One of my favorite things about MYX is the variety of, not only the type of workouts, but also the length. In the past I talked myself out of workouts because I didn't get up early enough, or didn't have time to "feel" my workout. I haven't done that at all since having my MYX. I can still fit in a really sweaty ride in 15 minutes, or get in a great kettlebell workout in 10, and I like that aspect of the whole program.

Tell us about your MYX journey
To those of you purchasing the MYX program, get prepared to fall in love! I am using this program about 4 days a week. Although I love working out, I have a displaced knee cap. So, I have to be extremely careful about the workouts I chose so I don’t cause further damage. My physical therapist recommended spin classes. The MYX program offers workouts that not only are intense, but are suitable for my knee.
Why MYX?
If someone were to ask me “Why MYX?!” I would tell them this program is the entire package. There’s a big variety of coaches who offer different coaching styles. But, one thing they all have in common is their ability to offer encouragement and support which keeps me motivated. New workouts are always added to the already large variety. I never have a hard time finding a workout and I never get bored. The large variety also accommodates many different needs. I have found workouts that are centering and stress relieving. And I've also found workouts that get me pumped and dripping in sweat. MYX is the whole package. I’d never found a program that I’m fully satisfied with until I found MYX!
What is your favorite MYX ride?
My favorite workout on the bike is Justin Flexen’s 45-minute rhythm ride.
What is your favorite floor or recovery workout?
My favorite workout off the bike is Lauren Sambataro’s 30-minute upper body sculpt. It’s manageable, but my arms are sore for days!
