New MYX coach spotlight: Trevor Franklin

New MYX coach spotlight: Trevor Franklin

We’re super excited to introduce Trevor Franklin, the newest member of our MYX coach team. Expect this pepperoni-pineapple pizza lover (more on that below!) to kick your training up a notch (or 10) while inspiring you to become the athlete he knows you are. Trevor also believes that the strength and endurance you build working out “has a greater purpose”: to help you excel in life outside the app. Follow Trevor on Instagram and check out the MYX page to stay up to date on all of our coaches.

How did you get started in the fitness industry?

I’ve played competitive sports my entire life. When I was in college, I worked a corporate 9-5 job that literally sucked the life out of me. When I was bored from that job, I did some soul searching on what brought me joy. I have always been passionate about health and wellness, but never considered it as a career path. My brief time being unemployed was a godsend, and since that time period I haven’t looked back. Fitness is my life now, and I love every second of it.

What drew you to MYX?

I like the approach. The ultimate goal is to be better and have a great time doing it. Fitness should be fun, and that’s the vibe I get with the MYX crew.

Tell us something we wouldn't guess about you.

I LOVE Domino’s pizza! I know NYC has a lot of pizza places, but Domino’s has my heart. Large pepperoni pineapple all day.

What inspires you?

What inspires me are my clients that I train one-on-one and the people that I have in class. I have seen SO many personal victories in my fitness career. I feed off it. I love seeing others realize how badass they actually are. We are all athletes, all meant to move our body and get stronger and faster. I’m inspired by seeing others realize their true potential.

What advice do you have for someone just starting their fitness journey?

One day at a time. You’re in your body for the rest of your life. Don’t look for a quick fix or something with an end date. There shouldn’t be a set end goal. There should be several goals that can change periodically over time as we develop.

Thanks for sharing, Trevor! We can’t wait to crush it with you in the app!
