Wouldn’t it be nice to have a personal trainer who plans your workout schedule for the week? Someone who understands your fitness goals and takes the reins, leaving you with one less decision to make each day?
We figured as much. Which is why we rolled out SmartMYX, the newest feature in the MYX experience. “Tell” SmartMYX your personal fitness goals and it tells you which workouts to do on your training days based on those goals.
Here’s how it works:
- Tap the SmartMYX button at the top right hand corner of the navigation bar on your tablet’s home screen.
- Enter your main fitness goal from a dropdown menu. You can choose Lose Weight, Gain Strength, Cardio Fitness, or Gain Flexibility.
- Tell SmartMYX how much time you have to work out.
SmartMYX takes it from there, prompting you to strap on your heart-rate monitor (required for SmartMYX workouts), then recommending your workout sequence for that week, as well as your next workout. (If you prefer a different workout, you can always choose from the options listed under your suggested workout.) Your progress is updated on the dashboard as you complete your workouts. We’ll also show you how much time you've spent in each HR zone that week.
If you meet your weekly goal—hooray! Time to celebrate.
Each week SmartMYX will automatically refresh and you’ll have another chance to hit your goal. Your fitness goal carries over week-to-week without any additional input needed…unless you want to update it.
SmartMYX is a curated experience. To exit SmartMYX — because maybe you’re in the mood for a change of scenery, or you want to explore other workouts or non-fitness content in the MYX library — simply tap the white arrow in the upper left corner of your home screen.
